About us…well I have to admit this is a little difficult as we are just starting out, but like any company you have to start somewhere and something has to give you the impetus to go for it.

Like everyone a strange sequence of events brings you to a moment when you get that eureka  moment and although we have not invented anything new, none the less I find myself building something that I completely believe in.

For me it is not so much about selling a product it is more to do with doing something I am passionate about and running is something I have loved since I was a teenager. I never became an international athlete but I certainly represented my club in the 400 and 800 mtrs, but 30 years on I find myself running 10k’s and half marathons, not for times but for the fun of it.

This fun is not so much about the pain you go through when training, but the camaraderie you get when training with fellow athletes. So what were the sequence of events that brought me here, well it started with reading “Born to Run” which made me realise I still had plenty of years left a chance encounter with a company who sold spectacle frames and the encouragement of my now business partner…But the true epiphany for me was the decision to call the company Naked Runner, as for me it just summed everything up.

So what is the plan from here on in, well I think it is fairly simple to sell practical products to runners based on quality and more importantly not to be charged the earth for the privilege.

I also want to be involved more in the grass roots level of sport to help young athletes succeed and encourage more people to take up this fine sport or running.
